Concentrated water-soluble source of Vitamin K for maximum endurance and performance of horses and for healthy osteo-articular development and anti-bleeding efficiency.
Ingredients
- Menadione (Sodium Bisulfite 96%) 100.2 g/kg
Product Description
- Amphi-VIT K3 equine is concentrated water-soluble source of Vitamin K for horses.
- Vitamin K3 or Menadione, is a synthetic molecule with vitamin K activity. Naturally occurring forms of vitamin K are vitamin K1 and vitamin K2.
- Vitamin K is crucial for racing horses due to its role in several vital physiological functions including:
1. Blood Clotting: Vitamin K is essential for the synthesis of clotting factors in the liver. These factors are crucial for preventing excessive bleeding and ensuring proper wound healing, which is important for racing horses that are prone to injuries.
2. Bone Health: Vitamin K helps in the regulation of calcium and the maintenance of bone density. Healthy bones are critical for the physical demands placed on race horses.
3. Vascular Health: It contributes to vascular health by preventing the calcification of blood vessels, ensuring efficient blood flow and reducing the risk of cardiovascular issues.
4. Energy Metabolism: Vitamin K is involved in the mitochondrial electron transport chain, which is vital for energy production. Adequate energy metabolism is essential for the high-performance levels expected from racing horses.
- Deficiencies in vitamin K can lead to multiple problems for horses such as hemorrhages, weakened bones, and reduced performance due to compromised energy production and cardiovascular health. Therefore, ensuring that racing horses receive an adequate amount of vitamin K through their diet or supplementation is important for their overall health and performance.
Product Benefits
- Amphi-VIT K3 equine can be used to prevent and help treatment of cases of vitamin K deficiency in horses resulting in increases incidence of hemorrhages, weakened bones, and reduced performance due to compromised energy production and impaired cardiovascular health.
- Amphi-VIT K3 equine may be helpful to prevent and help treatment of uncontrolled bleeding due to liver damage causing disturbed coagulation cascade and reduced clotting factors in the circulating blood.
- Amphi-VIT K3 equine may be helpful to prevent and help treatment of increased incidence of bone fractures and other bone problems due to impaired bone mineralization caused by vitamin K deficiency. Amphi-VIT K3 equine can be used for mares and foals to help bone development and to guard against frequent anomalies of bone metabolism.
- Amphi-VIT K3 equine may be used to improve energy metabolism in horses. Amphi-VIT K3 equine can be used to prevent and help treatment of several equine metabolic disorders that relate to disturbances of energy metabolism, such as obesity, hyperlipidemia, insulin resistance, and equine metabolic syndrome (EMS or insulin dysregulation).
- Amphi-VIT K3 equine may be used during long-term antibiotic Use. Antibiotics can disrupt the gut microbiota, reducing the natural production of vitamin K. Supplementation can help maintain adequate levels.
- Amphi-VIT K3 equine may be used during recovery from illness or surgery. Horses recovering from illnesses or surgeries might benefit from vitamin K to aid in proper blood clotting and healing processes.
- Amphi-VIT K3 equine may be helpful to improve spermatogenesis and increase male fertility in horses.
- Amphi-VIT K3 equine may be helpful for improving energy utilization by horse muscles during exercise.
